What it is

The Julie Rogers Theatre was built in 1928 as the Beaumont City Hall and Auditorium. The City of Beaumont records that it was renamed the Julie Rogers Theatre in 1980, honoring a local philanthropist. Today it operates as a performing-arts venue and is part of the Beaumont Civic Center Complex.

On the stage today

The Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau describes the theatre as the home of the Symphony of Southeast Texas and the Beaumont Civic Ballet, with seating of about 1,663 across orchestra, loge, and balcony levels. We cite that figure to the CVB rather than restating it as our own measurement; confirm current capacity and seating maps with the venue when it matters for your visit.
